My bestfriend-cousin insisted that we try ShakeShack burgers here in New York. Today, before heading for the Whitney Museum, we stopped by ShakeShack at Madison Square Park to give it a shot. My gawd, the queu was as crazy as queing for a Disney ride!
We waited patiently. After 40 minutes, devour the burgers we did. My mom had the Shack Burger, i had the 'Shroom Burger (Crisp Portobello Mushroom filled with a special kind of cheese). It was soooo good.

This isn't us, sorry.
But after a heavenly lunch my mom had an unfortunate matter to deal with. There was no restroom inside. You know, my mom would spend half our daily trips inside a restroom. It takes forever every time she goes. It's like whenever she goes to Mercury Drug. Anyway, since there was no bathroom at Shake Shack, we went around the corner and saw a vegetarian cafe. This means we had to buy something so we could use their bathroom.

So i looked for a drink and chose this.Hindi masarap, lasang langis!

At least my mom got in to the restroom.

My First Design Field Trip in NYC

I decided to visit the International Contemporary Furniture Fair at the Javits Convention Center when we were driving along Manhattan and saw this ad by Bloomingdale's on their store window. When we got home i googled it right away and found out that it'll be open to the general public on its last day. Yaaay! Yesterday, we went.

The weather was so bad, it was raining and my mom and i were freezing. They say New York has got the craziest weather. I would agree. Because the day before this was sunny and lovely.

But our trip paid off when we got to the fair. Though entrance fee for the non-buyers was $50, it was worth every buck. It's so amaziing!

When i got inside, i began observing and learned very strangely that people are okay with taking pictures inside the fair. Paranoia from copycats were not an issue to them. You can take photos of their creations up close even when the booth operator is right in front of you. How cool is that? So i thought of my $50 fee and decided that i won't go without any memory of this field trip.

Here are my first pictures. No-flash so as not to bother fellow visitors.

I love this eye-umbrella. I wonder whose eyes these are.

I forgot the name of this rug company. I once saw this on euromaxx.
This shot could've been way better had i not been too shy to take photos

You know, there's a thing about me that i should share with you. i'm a li'l big jinx in every way. I think in our idiomatic expressions class back in grade school, my favorite form of idiom was "ironies". And i think now i know why. I was very much enjoying my documenting of every beautiful thing inside the fair when alas, my camera shut down. "Battery exhausted," it said. Damn. So this was my last shot before my camera shut down.

Good thing my phone's battery was still up so i used it for taking more photos. You can tell the difference in image quality.

Oh well, I wish i could bring this chair home.

I asked whether these wooden radios were functional or not. Duuhhh, of course they were!

Hey, Marimekko was an exhibitor!

This was an installation by the British group of designers.

And there were two Filipino exhibitors in this fair: Kenneth and Celestina

That's all!

Finally Whiter

Today i thank my dear friend for finally hearing me out. Whether it be due to something that would cause me great pain or not, i still am thankful. Yet i am also deeply sad. I don't know when this will end but what i hate most are mornings where i wake up from dreams that don't help at all. I say they are all bad dreams.

Thank God there's the new Crest whitening toothpaste.
I know i am not making sense but at least with Crest i can drink all the caffeine i want and not worry about the stains it will leave on my bunny-type teeth. I thank my Mom for this. She knows what i need. Haha!
